DIVAS FOR LIFE was 'born' from the free-flowing spirit that comes from combining 'Gift' with 'Giving'.

The 'Do-Good' DIVAS... "Six jazz singers have raised a whack of money for charity with a benefit that just won't quit", writes Alexandra Gill, GLOBE & MAIL, July 2001. Read More

DIVAS For Life all started in the of Spring 2000 when Vancouver Lifestyles
magazine profiled six top female vocalists: Laura Crema, Dee Daniels, Karin
Plato, Kate Hammett-Vaughan, Stevie Vallance and Tammy Weis. Stevie
Vallance had just returned from New York, where she'd been visiting her
41-year-old friend Jane, who was dying of cancer. During the photo shoot,
the six women talked about the importance of using what they know best -
their voices - to help raise money for people living with cancer and other
life-threatening illnesses. They chose The Vancouver Friends For Life
Society, an organization dedicated to supporting over 1300 people living
with the daily challenges of such illnesses.

Stevie Vallance donated her time to produce the concert through her company
H'art Creations Inc. In a whirlwind, The Vogue Theatre was booked, sponsors
signed on, the event was promoted, and tickets went on sale. The hard work
was worth it. The concert was sold out, with people scrambling to buy
'standing room only' tickets. And it didn't stop there...

CBC Radio recorded the concert, and H'art Creations negotiated a national distribution deal with Fustion 3 for the Cd, DIVAS
For Life - Live At The Vogue! The Cd was released to rave
reviews,
in a series of sold out concerts, as part of the
Vancouver International Jazz Festival.

On Valentine's Day, 2002, the packed Vogue Theatre's audience was dazzled, once again, by 'Divas for Love, Divas For Life:02', a celebration of love
and hope, featuring Lee Aaron, Christine Duncan, Kate Hammett-Vaughan,
Angela Kelman, Karin Plato and Stevie Vallance.

To date DIVAS For Life has raised over $75,000 for Friends For Life.

In spring, 2008, Stevie is presenting the first Divas For Life concert in support of animals. 100% proceeds for 'Divas For Life:Rainbow Bridge' will be donated to the Ontario SPCA for their work against animal cruelty. The Divas, accompanied by David Warrack and his Canada Pops Orchestra, will be performing from their hearts, at The Old Mill, Toronto, on April 11, 2008.

We hope you will be a part of the continuing magic...
